Ok. Here’s the story. Last night, our doorbell rings. Crystal answers the door to a young woman who is all in a tizzy. Apparently, she was dog siting our neighbor’s Great Dane Apollo while they are on vacation. She went out the back door and somehow when she closed it, it locked her out. That’s when she came to us.
She asked if we could help her. She was really worried that Apollo would have and “accident” since he just ate. Not being very good at breaking and entering, not to mention not wanting to damage my neighbor’s house, we looked for an alternate solution. We could see her keys, cell phone, list of instructions and phone numbers through the window.
Being super creative (and not finding any other alternative) we ran back to our house and grabbed the camera and the 70-200mm zoom lens! She was surprised when I show up with a large DSLR with a long white lens on it. I took a shot through the window at the instruction and zoomed in on the phone numbers in the viewfinder, Crystal with her super bionic eyes was able to make out the numbers!!
We called one of the other people on the list who has a key, and 10 minutes later the dog sitter was back in the house and Apollo was able to go outside! A happy ending for all!
