Great Forest Park Balloon Race and Balloon Glow

We’re a little late putting this up, but we’re finaly getting to it. Last weekend, we went to Forest Park for the Great Forest Park Ballon Race. Well, actually we only went to the balloon glow. We met our good friends George and Kristin, and Felix and Kim.

We had a great time as we always do. The balloons never seem to loose their “awe” factor when they are up and set aglow by the burners. Below are a couple of snapshots from the event.

The James Family

This is Dan’s oldest sister and her family. We had a great time going up to do these and are very happy we could get a new great traditional family photo for above the mantle. I hope you guys enjoyed getting them done as much as we did taking them. We love you all.

Dan & Crystal~

Brad and Pattie are getting married!

Today, Crystal and I had the true joy of shooting Brad & Pattie’s engagement photographs. These two are a hoot! We had such a great time working with them. So much so, that we couldn’t even call it work. Brad and Patty have infectious personalities that just make you want to smile when you’re with them.

We met up in New Town in St. Charles on what had to be the prettiest day of the year so far. Brad was fashionably late, but he had a good reason. He was shopping for some new clothes for Pattie. Crystal though it was the sweetest thing ever and then asked me why I don’t do nice things like that for her anymore. Thanks for making me look bad Brad!  ;)    I thought us guys were supposed to stick together!

There are so many awesome shots from today that I fear that it will take us 6 months to narrow them down to a manageable number. In the meantime, Crystal picked a couple to wet your appetite!

ShootSac Shootout

Dan and I meet “monthly” with a group of local photographers; we had such a great time down on the landing with Chad Jeffery of Chad Jeffery Photography. Poor Chad “super model extrodinaire” was the only one who showed up at the shoot with the object we were supposed to be shooting, his “Shootsac“; its a bag for photography gear. Had an aweome time shooting mainly Chad “super model extrodinaire” not so much the Shootsac this time around.

However, we took a really adorable photo of Alisha Clark of Alisha Clark Photography. Poor Alisha drove straight to the meeting from New York and none of us party poopers would go with her to the casino for a little time on the craps tables.

Thanks so much to Stephanie from Stevie Photography for getting the group together. We just had to share some of these photos with all of you. I’m thinking Chad should try spending a little more time infront of the camera vs behind it. He’s a natural.
