DJ & Jen’s wedding… and yes… pirates too!

You couldn’t have asked for a prettier day, perfect temperature, blue skies with big billowy clouds, and two of the nicest people getting married you’d ever want to meet. DJ and Jen were married Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi church in south county where we were treated to one of the funniest wedding ceremonies we’ve ever attended. We’ve attended several weddings that Father Chris has performed, and he never ceases to amaze us with his open, fun-loving style.

DJ and Jens Wedding-001 The festive mood began even prior to Father Chris’s riveting ceremony. The guys were all super glad to be “supporting” their good friend DJ on this most important day and like wise DJ knows he could count on his buds even if they were not available for the 4 a.m. roof clean!!!DJ and Jens Wedding-002 DJ and Jens Wedding-003The fist stolen moment following the ceremony.  DJ and Jens Wedding-004 DJ and Jens Wedding-005 DJ and Jens Wedding-006 Later, we went to Tower Grove Park to snap some pictures, where we met up with a group of fun-loving pirates who, when asked to pose with the happy couple, were all too happy to oblige. Say Arrggg…. DJ and Jens Wedding-007 DJ and Jens Wedding-008 We had hoped we could get in to the stadium for a few photo ops that dream not happening I opted to create the field for them. I thought our baseball diamond inspired photo was one of our favorites of the day. Just too cute and couldn’t be more fitting of these two. DJ and Jens Wedding-009 DJ and Jens Wedding-010DJ & Jen we couldn’t be happier for you both and we were honored to be your photographers. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness, and catsup (inside joke).

Time to schedule your engagement Session!

Just a reminder to brides that it’s time to start scheduling your engagement session. The summer schedule fills up quickly and you don’t want to be scrambling at the last minute trying to squeeze it in.

For those brides who have been on the fence about booking your photographer, use an engagement session to get to know them and see if they are a good fit with you. It’s a much cheaper alternative than diving head-long into a wedding photography contract, and should get you some great pics with your fiance to boot!

If you’re not happy with your photographer after that, then you aren’t tied to an expensive package and can continue shopping. But you will need to start doing it now before it’s too late!

Dan

Mr & Mrs Heath…

Well we had an amazing day with Tracy & Matt. I don’t think we had this much fun at our own wedding. These two are a delight. Matt who is one of our favorite grooms is absolutely a riot and his bride Tracy is one of the sweetest girls we’ve ever had the pleasure to know. Dan and I feel like we’ve known these two for years they are that easy to be around and photograph. They have two adorable kids that are as sweet as they come. Since the day we shot their engagement photos we couldn’t wait to do the wedding. Let me say it was worth the wait.

Thank you guys for giving us the honor of being your photographers. We are truly honored and wish you two all the happiness in the world!

The Hobdy’s Bridal Session

We’ve known Nicole and Karl for about three years now and they were married about four years ago. When they were married, they did not get all the photos they wanted (hind sight always being 20/20), so they asked Dan and I if we would take some shots of them to supplement what their original photographer had taken. Dan and I were honored to do it for them and got some great stuff.

David and Rachel’s Reception

Friday evening, we had to the honor of photographing David and Rachel’s reception. They married each other in Mexico and had their honeymoon there and held the reception here in south St. Louis county at Andre’s. We had so much fun. David and Rachel make such a cute couple! Here’s a couple of shots from the reception as a teaser!
