ShootSac Shootout

Dan and I meet “monthly” with a group of local photographers; we had such a great time down on the landing with Chad Jeffery of Chad Jeffery Photography. Poor Chad “super model extrodinaire” was the only one who showed up at the shoot with the object we were supposed to be shooting, his “Shootsac“; its a bag for photography gear. Had an aweome time shooting mainly Chad “super model extrodinaire” not so much the Shootsac this time around.

However, we took a really adorable photo of Alisha Clark of Alisha Clark Photography. Poor Alisha drove straight to the meeting from New York and none of us party poopers would go with her to the casino for a little time on the craps tables.

Thanks so much to Stephanie from Stevie Photography for getting the group together. We just had to share some of these photos with all of you. I’m thinking Chad should try spending a little more time infront of the camera vs behind it. He’s a natural.

Marc and Carmen

This Sunday we had the pleasure of shooting Marc & Carmen’s engagement photos. We really lucked out with the weather. 70 degrees and sunshine, so we thought the zoo would be a fun place. The zoo is still in “winter mode” so it was still a little drab not many beautiful landscapes to shoot at quite yet, but we still got some amazing stuff.  Marc and Carmen were so much fun! We can’t wait for their wedding!

Happy Holidays From Dan & Crystal (and the mutts)

Christmas is over and the New Year is on it’s way! Crystal and I (and our three dogs, Penny, Pedro, & Parker) want to wish you a Happy Holiday, and a Happy New Year.

The new year is shaping up nicely for us. We are booking up fast for 2008 and even have a couple bookings for 2009 already. We are very excited. We are also be going to make some changes here at Colortouch Photography.

We hope to evolve the Colortouch Website some more, but more importantly, we are going to buckle down and get our blogging up to where it needs to be. We were so busy this summer, that our blog really suffered. We plan to pick up the pace a bit and put out more quantity and quality posts.

We also want to encourage participating our blogs. Go ahead and leave comments. Let us know what you think. Give us suggestions. Heck, even just say hi! We would LOVE to hear from you!

We also have some very exciting plans for 2008. We can’t spill the beans yet, but once we get everything worked out, we’ll have some great news to tell you all about some unique, value-added services we’ll be providing to our brides. We can’t wait to tell you about them! (but I guess we’ll have to for now!)

We hope your 2008 is everything you hope it is and we can’t wait to hear from you!

Love, Dan and Crystal (and the mutts too!)

Trash-the-dress session anyone?

The latest craze to hit wedding photography is “trash-the-dress” sessions. In these sessions, brides who are looking for something different and don’t mind getting their dress dirty (or maybe even trashed!) can get some exciting and very cool photographs taken in some pretty cool locations.

These locations are generally where a bride on her wedding day wouldn’t want because there may be a chance that her dress may get dirty. With a TTD session, throw caution to the wind, and take a chance! Nothing is out of bounds. Grass, dirt, mud, and water… anything! Only the imagination of the bride and the photographers are the limit!

We are putting out the call to any brides (doesn’t matter when you got married!) who may want to participate in a TTD session. Drop us an email at info@colortouchphotography.com if you are interested.

If you want more information on what exactly “trash-the-dress” is all about, be sure to check out the wildly popular website, http://www.trashthedress.com

We look forward to hearing from you!
